Hibiscus Children's Center provides a myriad of residential, preventative, and community resources to children who are removed (or at risk of removal) from their homes by the state due to abuse, neglect, and/or abandonment. The Tilton Family Children's Center in Martin County is a 36-bed residential emergency shelter that serves over 100 children every year. These children come to the shelter, through no fault of their own, often with few school supplies.
This drive supplies not only the children at the beginning of the year but the many more who will arrive throughout the school year in need of their own backpack and supplies to learn.
Hibiscus Children's Center also has a residential facility in Indian River County and preventative/support programs that serve families in Martin, St Lucie, Okeechobee, and Indian River Counties.
